What will I do next time?
I do not believe this will happen again. Because two reasons, there is now a bill called Ensuring pay for our soldiers the government to take away pay from our soldiers. Second reason is a recent action just too place in the war on terror, Usama Bin Laden was shot and killed by our military men. I think majority of our nation feels pride and will not let this happen if it is brought up. I also feel as if Obama is taking to much credit from this recent activity. Our soldiers went near danger, risking their lives, and this will be considered a win for Obama because he was the lucky guy who sat in the bunker while our military they do what they do. Whats great is he also said he is proud of them. PROUD???!!! Mr. President just last week you didn't want to pay them now you are saying you are proud of them? I am not an A plus student, in fact I am no where near an A+ student but it is common sense to know that you are picking sides. Picking the winning sides, like baseball you may say your a New York Yankees fan but when the Mets start winning four games in a row, you say your a Mets fan. You just did that in my mind, we needed cuts you throw them under the bus but once they came back and did something great you praise them. Your not a good fan of our military.

About me- I was absent
I am a high school student doing the blog for a class. I 'm supposed to find out three critical issues in the world that I think are problem in today's society. I feel that the three most important issues that make me angry are not paying soldiers for their duties, gas prices, and disrespect towards other people. One may think that our armed forces are not as important as other people, these people are keeping us free. The gas prices are a killer! The price of gas is changing everyone lives for the worse, with higher gas prices there are higher prices for everything else! Why gas prices so high? Because environmentalists want to raise it so less people will drive. Maybe if gas prices aren't so high we wouldn't have a problem paying our troops. I drive to work, I drive a truck. If it is going to cost me around $80 for a tank of gas then what am I really making at work? Gas money? I work so I can drive I don't get paid enough to go someplace else just enough so i can drive from home to school to work to home. Finally what gets me mad is a situation I saw the other day. An older man holding two cases of water stepped behind a young man in a suit to check out. The young man left the line and answered his cell phone line moved up the older man was next, you can tell he was getting tired of holding those two cases but he was strong and still held his composure. When the old man went up to the counter to check out the young man came up and turned and said "excuse me I was here" Maybe I am crazy but this guy wanted a pack of gum and cigarettes he couldn't wait for the old man to get what he wanted and relax his arms? He stepped out of line. It got me fired up and all I could do was watch the old man take a step back and apologize.

What did I learn... post 2
What might happen to our country's protection if we stop paying our soldiers? Will they keep fighting even though they are not receiving a paycheck? Would risk your own life for no pay, get nothing in return, and be protested against? I believe if we stopped paying our soldiers for a time period, bad things would happen, bad things being people deciding not to fight or to give intelligence and secrets to other countries to receive pay. A long term affect would be people wouldn't want to join a service because they would fear not getting a steady paycheck that they would need in order to live a life in these times. I do not agree with President Obama and his words saying soldiers are "non essential" (Fox news in Austin, Texas) These people are our line of defense from people trying to attack us and he considers them non essential?!Your sir are non essential we need these brave men and women fighting while you sit in you office and take expensive vacations
